If you are in an accident it is compulsory to wait at the scene until police arrive. Alcohol is prohibited in Kuwait so if you are found to be driving under the influence it will be viewed as a serious offense which could result in a jail sentence.

Self-Driving in Kuwait

International Driving Permit is mandatory and you will need to pay a fee for insurance to drive on the license. It may be possible to take vehicles outside Kuwait but rules vary per company so you should inquire about terms when you reserve the car. The minimum age for driving is 25. Self-driving cars are widely available in Kuwait and you can rent a car from the airport itself.
